Lee Chapel, the final resting place of General Robert E. Lee, is regarded by many as one of the most significant shrines in the United States. Visitors from across the country travel to see its Portrait Gallery, Museum Collections, and Burial Vault. Our charge was to convert an underutilized museum into a first class gallery, which is now on a par with the finest small museums across the country. We worked closely with museum and exhibit designers to design the galleries which celebrate the Lee, Washington, and Custis Family history. Furthermore, the Chapel and Museum have been made accessible to the disabled.
